GRACE

Why we want children to stay healthy

Grace was a little girl who had a rare disease called Sanfilippo Syndrome.  She lived 13 blessed years.  Grace's special learning needs resulted in the creation of SMARTgame®.   Our mission is to deliver SMARTgame® to schools everywhere so that children start off their lives with healthy disciplines and mindsets.

We all know inherited genes can cause diseases that cut children's lives short.  Sadly so can inherited behaviors.  Our mission is to teach children how to be healthy in mind and spirit like Grace was!

OUR GRACE never spoke, but she was a very happy, peaceful child.  This was due  to her simple, unencumbered mind.  She didn't need words to make a gigantic difference for thousands of children!    Her unique learning needs inspired a potent PREVENTION INVENTION!

SMARTgame® does wonders for young children... Makes any subject come alive!

What is Sanfilippo Syndrome?

A rare storage disease

Sanfilippo syndrome, or mucopolysaccharidosis III (MPS-III) is a rare autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disease. It is caused by a deficiency in one of the enzymes needed to break down the glycosaminoglycan heparan sulfate (which is found in the extra-cellular matrix and on cell surface glycoproteins).  Sanfilippo Syndrome is also called a "storage disease."  Children with this disease are missing a much needed enzyme to break down cells.  Any kind of storage causes disease on some level.  It's sad to see what happens to a body when it isn't working properly. We hope to help to find a cure that will replace the enzyme in these children who need it so.  SMARTgame® was developed to help to raise awareness and funds towards a cure for Sanfilippo Syndrome, and to keep all children healthy along the way!
